This really works. My husband spilled tea latte on our brand new carpet. I was frantically looking for a solution. This worked like a magic. I also have a dog and a son, and both make a lot of mess. I am so glad I have this trick to take care of small messes quickly. Thank you so much. God bless you 🙏

I talked to zerorez technician he said that they were using an acid pre spray and potassium hydroxide (which is highly alkaline) as a rinse. WOW wait they say no chemicals. KOH is the main ingredient in drano. I hope that their technicians never drink this water, it could easily be fatal.

I have heard great things about Zerorez too. They are not the only carpet cleaners but they do a really good job. What they spray before vacuuming is a citrus solution of some sort and it smells good. You can find products that might be similar to that whatever brand they use. Depending on what you buy it may even be a bit better than what they use too. That is because they are probably buying cheaper stuff or even at some special discount to professional or bulk buyers. If you looked around at a Zerorez near you, you might find totes full of it or and empty one that is ready to be sent back for a refill. I would not expect to find it in gallon jugs in these places unless they keep some on hand to sell for people who want to do touchups. Really I would think they would rather you call them and pay for a reclean now and then. They do give a discount to first time customers.

If people think this works as easy as shown in the vid then you are going to be misled in some cases (not all). That is not to say it isn't an effective technique overall just that there are are some important considerations not mentioned. First of all how old is the stain - the longer it has been allowed to embed itself, the harder it is going to be to get out (as a general rule). Secondly the type of stain; the author used freshly laid shoe polish and that may be easier to get up than older oil-based stains, it certainly appears to be (unless many frames have been edited out of this video). Water-based stains are a lot easier to get up than oil-based clearly. The type of carpet and age. I suspect the techniques works better on natural fibres and newer carpets where the pile allows for more penetration of the cleaning solution. As an example I had a 4/5 days old grease stain on an oldish carpet (not sure how it got there, but could have been from the moving firm we used). Using the above technique over 25 applications (not the 2/3 used in the video) I managed to remove about 85% of the stain. That was about an hour's work too. A specialist carpet cleaning firm may have done a better job but once you factor in their cost (and provided the stain is small enough), it probably isn't worthwhile paying their charge. As I started by saying this technique is effective but be prepared to be on your hands and knees for a while if the stain is older and is more bled in to older man-made carpet fibres.

I just found this video after thinking I was the only one still using a Butler wand. I've been pushing a 14" 5 jet Butler wand since 1996- and I still have it. I've replaced the handle, the jet manifold, repaired/replaced the valve seals and have had the top of the head weld repaired where it meets the tube- other than that, it's stock. When I bought my first Butler in '96 I ordered the 14" with 1 1/2" tube after swinging a 2" tube wand for 11 years. Total game changer- the maneuverability of the 1.5" hose lead in tight areas was so much easier to handle with far greater flexibility that makes for highly improved safety around furniture, walls, doors, and other contents. I have 2 newer 14" Butler wands with the newer stainless trigger valve. Needless to say, I prefer the brass Paraplate valve that came with my '96 wand. Occasionally there's a need to replace the spring and stem o-ring. Other than those two inexpensive normal wear items the Paraplate is as durable a valve as you'll find. And, compare the replacement cost of a Paraplate to Butler's SS valve and it makes a difference in your wallet! Your video is a great document of the quality of the build and craftsmanship that Butler puts into their products. As for the drying time/air flow debate, I agree that nothing is lost using the Butler 1.5" wand. Every cleaner has their own wand technique, and that plays a bigger role in dry times than tube size by far.
